Read Pakistan organized Gujranwala Readers Conference first time ever in the city of Gujranwala, to make this city the city of readers as well as the future leaders. The Conference was organized on December 15, 2019 at Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce Auditorium. The sole purpose of this event was to incite the book reading habit in youth specially and in others as general.

The event was organized by Gujranwala team of Read Pakistan led by Syeda Jasia Hashmi. Chairman Read Pakistan, Vice President, motivational speakers, trainers and Heads Of Departments of different educational institutes graced the event with their presence.

The event was started by the recitation of Holy Quran and a tribute to our beloved country for which we are doing all efforts, was presented by National anthem. After National anthem the Chairman Read Pakistan, sir Farrukh Dall gave introductory speech, sharing views about booking reading in china by his recent visit in comparison to Pakistan and also regarding declining reading habit of nation, the dying culture of books and why we need more than ever to culminate reading habit.

Then, Malik Aqeel ur Rehman, a teacher of CSS aspirants and a traveler, talked about the current situation of reading habit in Pakistan and about importance of books as well as about how books have changed his life. Afterward appreciation shields were given to team members who put their efforts to organize this event. To entertain the audience a sufi kalam was presented by student’s which audience joined a lot.

Next speech was presented by Yasir Arafat, well known motivational speaker and UK certified trainer. He shared views about book reading and how books can help in personal development. Then the Vice President Read Pakistan Jawad Shahid distributed appreciation certificates to ambassador’s of the Conference.

Final speech was given by Usman Raza Jolaha, a young leader, his speech was about Pakistan and youth’s role towards Pakistan. Shields were presented to respected Guest speakers and Guests of the event. Ending note was given by event head Jasia Hashmi.

 

A post event meeting was organized with chairman and event organizers.
