Read Pakistan held social media leaders conference 2018 to award renowned social media activists and
its hardworking members. Social media activists from all over the country were invited to have discussions on the effective use of social media. The main purpose of this conference was to invite and network with remarkable social media activists and share the aim of CybeRead (social media team of Read Pakistan) with them, i.e. the promotion of reading culture in our society. The major topics of the conference varied from facing the toughest social media challenges to the ethical use of social media.

The major highlight of the conference was the notable speakers who delivered their thoughts on this platform. The conference started with the respectable MPA and special assistant to PM for IT, science and Technology, Kamran Khan Bangash. He shared the progress and promotion of reading culture in KPK. He also included few figures, he mentioned that they have formed 300 libraries in KPK and are aiming for more. Zartaj Gul, Federal Minister for climate change, talked about the significance of social media, she went in retrospect and told the audience how back in the days when a girl or guy used to write, people would make a big deal out of it. She also shed light on the importance of social media in political participation. Another worthy guest speaker, the State Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Ali Muhammad Khan shared his success story with the audience. He emphasized on the benefits of reading, and told the participants that where he stands today, he owes that to social media activists. Along came the
renowned social media activist Usman Raza Jolaha, he mentioned the efforts by him and his team on cases like Zainab one, signifying the role of social media in our lives. “Little professor” Hammad Safi also delivered his thoughts on the ethical use of social media. Ahmad Jawad, highlighted the importance of social media in the digital age. Zunaira Khan , Cyber Sultan (head of Cyberead) thanked the audience and guest speakers. Chairman of the Trust distributed awards among the top leaders of cyberead and shields among the speakers.

Rasm e Taj Poshi, a special segment, especially designed to acknowledge the services of Zunaira Khan as Cyber Sultan for establishing the team was also held. Read Pakistan Award, the most prestigious Award of Read Pakistan Trust was also given to her.
